Newell & Allie designed & delivered workshops with follow-up coaching introducing Theory U process and Social Presencing practices during a strategic change initiative for Camphill North America.

New York State Office of Mental Health

Allie designed and led an implementation of enhanced person-centered planning, applying yoga research in a behavioral health systems transformation change effort. Included weekly mindfulness & embodiment practices, yoga-based facilitation of learning groups for folks living with psychiatric disabilities over a five year period. Conducted follow up team dialogue for State-wide executive staff and impatient communities.

Impact: Internal staff trained and certified in yoga therapy and mindfulness based stress reduction practices to continue this enhancement initiative for sustainable person-centered planning practices to ensure systems change to recovery and resilience practices.

Maria College

Allie facilitated year-long faculty development change process. Designed & delivered creative team development workshops. Established process learning practices for conscious innovation & presence-based team coaching

Impact: Leadership team transition to new models of creative engagement, quality talent retention and conscious innovation capacity.

Adirondack Scenic Studios

Newell designed and conducted a comprehensive organizational assessment through interviews with all the senior leaders to identify strengths/assets and challenges gaps.

Impact: This resulted in a transformational plan of action to make changes in ownership succession, team structure, systems/policies, meeting design, staff development and space use.

Vicarious Visions Studio

Newell designed and facilitated the development of strategic plans that included establishing the vision, values, strategic priorities including leadership development training objectives.

Impact: These plans have helped guide the organization through many challenging times.

Greylock Federal Credit Union

Newell designed and facilitated several senior leadership workshops using both the Leadership Circle’s Collective Leadership Assessment and Pathway of Growth's Team Conversations Survey to identify key conversations to focus on improving and explore. Focus on common leadership team challenges such as work-life balance, decisiveness, difficult relationships and other “un-discussables” leaders often tend to avoid.

Impact: The Greylock SLT now routines checks in to evaluate their progress in addressing these missing conversations. They report significant improvements.

NYS Office of Children and Family Services Bureau of Training and Development

Newell co-designed with the senior leadership team a strategic planning process to clarify their mission and to establish their future vision/ aspirations.

Impact: Clarity of purpose among staff and other key stakeholders. Several concrete actions to achieve their vision including a series of specific behavior-based standards and agreements for staff and leaders.

Kripalu Center for Yoga & Health

As in house non-profit leader responding to wide scale burnout in front line professionals, Edi consciously innovated RISE™, Kripalu’s award-winning, evidence-based program to co-create more people-centered workplaces. Edi shepherded this ground breaking program from pilot phase, partnering with researchers to document significant stress reduction, through scaling up across geography and sector. She engaged and trained a diverse facilitator team, overseeing delivery of programs that enriched the work and wellbeing of individuals and teams working in critical social institutions in North America.

Impact: New, mission-aligned income stream, 10,000+ leaders and front line professionals across community and corporate sectors trained, documented 32% decrease in perceived stress.
